Learning English

Lea’s parents own (=they have) a job agency specialized in helping foreigners [ foriners](=people from other countries) to integrate the US, find a job and improve (=make better) their English. Lea’s parents meet such different cultures every day that it often makes them feel dizzy ! (= disoriented)

Lea often feels a little sorry for these people because they are so shy. Sometimes she believes that it can be easier for them to run a Marathon than to have an ordinary conversation in English! At other times she also thinks that they don’t make enough [ inaf] effort and don’t study much. Well, of course, it’s easy for her to say because she is a native speaker. Anyway, it’s obvious [ abvies](=easy to see) that these people need to work on their self-confidence.
